PowerQuest PartitionMagic version 8.01
is not to be confused with Symantec PartitionMagic version 8.05.
Symantec has purchased the PartitionMagic name, however has only changed the name.
I have no desire to pay for another version of the same program.
Symantec will not update the Powerquest version of PartitionMagic.
The Powerquest version is probably considered end-of-life software.
However, is no less secure than the Symantec version.

The latest version reported by Software Informer is "2001.0.0.303". However, the REAL latest version (as of 27th April 2008) is "Version 8.01 (Build 1274) 14/03/2003"
